Beginnings
Kevin grew up in Ellenwood, Georgia in a small trailer park. His humble beginnings are a constant reminder of how easy it is to get caught up in uncontrollable circumstances that can hold one back from fulfilling God’s plan and purpose. Kevin’s life is a great example of how God can use anyone, from anywhere, at any time.
Background
Kevin attended high school at Faith Christian Academy. He was then hired by Delta Air Lines where he worked for 10 years. Through a local men’s Bible study, he answered the call of God to preach. He enrolled at Atlanta Baptist College where he completed a bachelor’s degree in theology. Kevin has spent the last 30 years preaching, teaching, and speaking to students and adults at churches, camps, conferences, youth events, and schools. Kevin has served the Lord overseas by preaching, singing, and sharing humanitarian aid in Russia, Romania, Hungary, Jamaica, and Nicaragua.
Kevin has served in ministry at Faith Baptist Church, Pine Grove Baptist Church, Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, Eagle’s Landing First Baptist Church, Eagle’s Landing Christian Academy, First Baptist Church Locust Grove, and Camp Anderson.
Beliefs
Kevin has overcome many obstacles to become an influential pastor and speaker. He speaks on current and relative subjects that influence our culture and community. Kevin has served on the staff of church, Christian school, and camp. He is solid in the fundamentals of the faith. Kevin believes in the inspired Word of God, the virgin birth of Jesus Christ, the atonement of sin through the blood of Jesus, the power of the Holy Spirit, the universal body of Christ which is the church, and the imminent return of Jesus to rapture His church. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, Kevin shares the gospel and the results are incredible. Glory to God for decisions made and lives changed.
Blessed
Kevin and Jody were high school sweethearts. They married in 1988. Jody has faithfully served the Lord as wife, mother, and Christian school teacher. She has followed and supported Kevin through many highs and lows, never wavering in her love and support for God, Kevin, and family.
Kevin and Jody have three wonderful children - Shelby, Trenton, and Coleson.
Shelby and her husband, Dustin, are serving the Lord in Utah. Coleson has recently joined them in Utah. Trenton and his wife, Lexi, live in Georgia. They had their first baby in December 2018 making us grandparents. Sweet Denver is the joy of our lives! 3 John 1:4 “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.”
